 sis and educational eligibility\nListing the 14 Individuals with Disabilit
 ies Education Act (IDEA) disability categories used for eligibility in Ill
 inois\nRecognizing three common barriers and potential solutions during th
 e evaluation process\nUnderstanding two key issues to consider in explorin
 g Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) options\n\nMegan is a 2023 Illi
 nois Partners in Policymaking Program graduate and a 2020 Family Fellow of
  the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (
 LEND) Program at the University of Illinois Chicago. Megan is also a Chart
 ing the LifeCourse Ambassador and a strong proponent of effective person-c
 entered planning practices.\nKarrie has over 20 years of professional expe
 rience supporting families navigating special education systems. She is al
 so a parent of an adult child with a disability. She joined Family Matters
