An organic guide to Champaign-Urbana community resources during the COVID-19 Pandemic- A collaborative effort between the School of Social Work Community Learning Lab (CLL) and UniPlace Christian Church.
The Chicago COVID Resource Finder provides information on available assistance with money, food, housing, health, mental health, utilities and legal help during the pandemic.
Resources are available for families, immigrants, LGBTQI, business owners and students.

Chinese Mutual Aid Association (CMAA) is a community-based social services agency targeting the low-income immigrant and refugee community. CMAA is also offering direct financial assistance to low-income families who have been economically affected by the COVID-19 crisis. The assistance can help those struggling financially with rent payments, mortgage payments, utilities, purchasing groceries or meeting other immediate needs.

City of Chicago Rental Assistance Program
The Rental Assistance Program (RAP) provides funding to Chicagoans who are at risk of becoming homeless. RAP helps Chicagoans who have housing right now, but who may become homeless soon because they lost income or had another eligible emergency which prevents them from paying rent.
Please note: Applications are currently closed for the City’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP), which is a separate program.
City of Springfield COVID-19 Community Resources
The city of Springfield provides a list of community resources available during the COVID-19 pandemic, including public computer labs, mortgage and housing assistance, unemployment, rent assistance, virtual career support, emotional support, payment assistance and family assistance.
Claire’s Place Emergency COVID-19 Fund for Cystic Fibrosis Community
Claire’s Place offers an Emergency COVID-19 Fund to address the need in the cystic fibrosis community to cover costs of food insecurity and extensive medical and prescription drug co-pays during the pandemic due to isolation or loss of income.
Claire’s Place is a non-profit organization that provides support to children and families affected by cystic fibrosis.
Community Action Agencies work with local community organizations and non-profit partners to provide assistance to Illinois families with items including:

- Food
- Energy Utility Bill Assistance
- Water/Sewer Payment
- Employment Training/Placement
- Financial Management
- Temporary Shelter
